Launched earlier this spring in collaboration with NABA – Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti Milan, our Wallpaper Design Competition invited students to explore wallpaper as a narrative surface.

At the Wall&decò showroom in Milan, we announced the winning project: Hiraya by Anejoy Dagumboy.
The design stood out for its poetic interpretation of soulful minimalism, capturing the atmosphere of early spring through soft, hand‑painted color fields that convey a sense of renewal and quiet balance.
Derived from ancient Tagalog, the name of the graphic evokes imagination, vision, hope, and the realization of dreams.

Along with the monetary prize, the winner also received a 2 sqm custom‑printed Wall&decò wallpaper featuring the winning graphic, together with a styled interior visualization of the design.
